Whether you’re new to faith or just curious, this is a simple introduction to Jesus—who He is, why He came, and what that means for you today.

Jesus’ Identity

John 14:6 (WEB): “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’”

Christians believe Jesus is God’s Son—fully God and fully man—who reveals God’s heart and shows us the way back to Him.

Colossians 1:15 (WEB): “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.”

If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus—His compassion, truth, and life.

Why Jesus Came

Luke 19:10 (WEB): “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus came to bring us back to God—healing our brokenness, forgiving our sin, and giving us new life with Him.

John 3:16–17 (WEB): “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.”

God’s motivation is love. Jesus’ mission is rescue.

Jesus’ Message

Mark 1:15 (WEB): “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

Jesus announced the arrival of God’s Kingdom—God’s good rule breaking into our world—and invited everyone to turn to Him and trust the Good News.

Matthew 11:28–30 (WEB): “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest… you will find rest for your souls.”

His invitation is personal: come to Him. He offers rest, forgiveness, and a new way of life.

What Jesus Did

Jesus taught with authority, healed the sick, loved the outcast, and lived without sin. He died on the cross for our sins and rose on the third day—defeating death and opening the way to life with God.

Matthew 1:21 (WEB): “You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”

The cross shows His love; the resurrection shows His power.

What This Means for You

You don’t have to have it all together. Jesus invites you to trust Him today, to receive forgiveness, and to begin a new life walking with Him.

John 10:10 (WEB): “I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”

Following Jesus isn’t about empty religion; it’s about real relationship and a transformed life.

A Simple Next Step

Pray honestly to Jesus: tell Him where you are, ask for forgiveness, and invite Him to lead your life. Then start reading one chapter a day in the Gospel of John to get to know Him.
